(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: Soft

If April is the month of bluebells, then May is the month of apple blossom. The pink buds, opening to reveal pink-blushed petals that fade to white; the scent – I only realised that apple blossom smelled so wonderful after reading about it on another blog a few weeks ago!; the way the blossom clothes the trees. It’s so pretty.  And May is when the countryside fills out – the verges and hedgerows are suddenly frothy with wildflowers and the fields are full of lush growth. It’s so green. The landscape is softened.

  1. Lovely photos as always. May has a split personality I think. Green and lush but often biting winds to spoil the enjoyment. I love the still days best when you can smell the blossom. B x

  2. Oh its gorgeous isn’t it. You are totally on the same page as me. I’ve been ooh-ing and aah-ing over the apple blossom and the hedgerows as well. At this time of year it all just explodes doesn’t it. Glorious. CJ xx
